On Monday, Saline Area Schools sold 2,000 tickets to the Saline-Clarkston football championship game at 1 p.m. at Ford Field in Detroit. Another 1,000 tickets are expected to be available for sale at 11 a.m. in the athletics office at Saline High School and Community Education office at Liberty School.
To provide for the convenience and safety of spectators attending the Michigan High School Athletic Association Football Finals at Ford Field in Detroit, Nov. 28 and 29, attendees are being advised of a variety of items related to transportation and security – including policies regulating types of bags allowed into the stadium.
Detroit Cass Tech has all the big-name college recruits but it was the Saline Hornets who made the primetime plays. Saline defeated Cass Tech, 30-15, in the state semifinal at Troy Athens High School Saturday afternoon. The Hornets will play the undefeated defending state champs from Clarkston at 1 p.m., Saturday, at Ford Field. Clarkston beat East Kentwood, 35-13.
