On a snowy, cold Halloween night at Hornet Stadium, Saline defeated Westland John Glenn, 41-6.
The Saline varsity football team continued a season for the history books with a 42-17 victory over the University of Detroit Jesuit Cubs Friday at Hornet Stadium. The Hornets (8-1, 5-0) have won eight games for the third consecutive season – the best three-year run in school history. They also brought their season total points to 365 which is the most ever through nine games.
Saline wore down UD Jesuit during a hard-fought first half and then dominated in the second half to end the season (8-1, 5-0 SEC) with a 42-17 victory.
Saline (7-1, 5-0 Red) won sole ownership of the SEC Red for the first time and sole ownership of its conference for the first time since 1994. The Hornets also completed their first ever undefeated SEC Red schedule and their first undefeated conference schedule since 1990.
