Chase From Clinton Results in Crash, Search and Escape

An early morning police chase involving Village of Clinton Police resulted in a crash in a Saline neighborhood and a suspect fleeing on foot

Clinton Village police followed a stolen vehicle into the City of Saline. The vehicle turned north on Harris Street and crashed near Pleasant Ridge Drive, according to a source.

The Saline Area Fire Department was dispatched to the scene at 2:48 a.m.

The driver of the vehicle was able to escape on foot., according to a source.

Saline Police Department, Michigan State Police and the Washtenaw County Sheriff searched the neighborhood for the driver but were not able to locate the suspect.

Three other passengers in the vehicle were treated for minor injuries. It's unclear if they were arrested.

The vehicle was reported stolen out of Adrian this morning, according to an Adrian Police officer. Clinton Village Police did not answer several phone calls.

Saline Police Department declined to to comment.
