Evelyn (Pittman) Feldkamp, age 87, of Norvell, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2012. She was born March 18, 1925 in Norvell, the daughter of George and Bessie (Nortley) Pittman.
On June 9, 1945 she married Wesley Karl Feldkamp, and he preceded her in death on May 7, 1992. Evelyn graduated from Manchester High School class of 1942. During her lifetime she owned Evelyn’s Beauty Shop, which she operated out of her home. Later she worked for Kirkpatrick Insurance Agency as a secretary for many years. She will be remembered by her caring and giving heart, love of crafts and love for her two cats. She wanted her children and grandchildren to remember that she taught them to be kind to people.
Survivors include daughters Sharon (Nelson) Turner of Tooele, Utah, and Judy (Bruce) Fritts of Saline. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Evelyn was preceded in death in addition to her husband by a son-in-law, a granddaughter, and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 28, at 1 p.m. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline, with Pastor Jay Cummings, officiating. Burial will take place at the Norvell Township Cemetery in Jackson County. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Huron Valley. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home where friends may begin calling on Thursday, December 27, between the hours of 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday, December 28, from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m.
