Hans Rehder, 50, of Saline, Killed in Manchester Crash

Hans Rehder, a 50-year-old man who lived in the City of Saline with his wife Glenna, was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Manchester Township Dec. 23.

According to Mlive.com, Rehder died from injuries caused when his 2000 Pontiac Grand Am left Austin Road, a half-mile west of Neal Road, and struck a utility pole. The crash occurred shortly after 6:30 p.m.

He was transported to University of Michigan Hospital where he died, according to the report.

Mlive reports that speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash..

Rehder worked at Eastern Michigan University as a groundsperson. He lived on East Henry Street with his wife, Glenna, who is known to many as the clerk for Saline Area Social Service.
