Saline Woman Suspected of Drunk Driving Strikes Telephone Pole

Saline Police arrested a 55-year-old Saline woman on suspicion of drunk driving Oct. 20.

Shortly after midnight police found a woman parked in a 1999 Mercury van with its hazards flashing at Keveling and Michigan Avenue.

The driver told police she was eastbound on Michigan Avenue when the vehicle next to her attempted to pull into her lane. To avoid a collision, the woman ran off the road and struck a curb, damaging her vehicle. Police determined the woman also struck a telephone pole.

A breath test showed a blood alcohol content over the legal limit and the woman was arrested.

Woman Arrested for OWI

Saline Police arrested a 24-year-old Saline woman on suspicion of drunk driving Oct. 19. Police spotted a vehicle tailgating on Michigan Avenue at about 3 a.m. Police followed the vehicle and observed it drifting in and out of its lane before enacting a traffic stop.  A breath test showed a blood-alcohol content above the legal limit. She was arrested on for operating while impaired. Her 2012 Dodge Avenger was impounded.

Woman Arrested for OWI

Saline Police arrested a 47-year-old Saline woman on suspicion of drunk driving Oct. 18. About 1 a.m., police stopped a 2012 Ford Escape for driving with high beam lights activated.  A breath test later showed a blood alcohol content higher than the legal limit. She was arrested and her ehicle was impounded.
