Evangelical Homes of Michigan, which is taking possession of the old Saline Community Hospital, will hold the second of two community forums to discuss plans for the facility Wednesday night.
The forum is at 6 p.m. in the community room at the old Saline Hospital.
Paul Stavros, VP of Marketing and Business Development, said the forum will give the public the chance to speak with senior company officials and hear about Evangelical Homes' plans for the former hospital.
"We have been overwhelmed with feedback from community members on what they would like to see us do with that site and we welcome this feedback," Stavros said.
In January, Evangelical Homes and St. Joseph Mercy announced a letter of intent to transfer ownership of the Russell Street facility to Evangelical Homes.
The 100,000-square-foot facility became available when St. Joe's relocated its urgent care facilty to former veterinary on Michigan Avenue near Moon Road. In April 2014, St. Joe's closed its emergency room in Saline -- effectively ending the life of a hospital first opened to serve the community in 1959.
