The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in locating a man suspected of attempting to abduct a jogger in Ypsilanti Township’s North Bay Park, April 18.

The woman was jogging when the suspect grabbed her and attempted to drag her into the woods. The suspect was scared off when another jogger approached. The woman suffered scratches and bruises.

The suspect is described as a 6’2, 250-pound white male with a muscular build. He is 30 to 40 years old with a short military hair cut, a full beard and a tattoo of a flaming eight-ball on his neck. He also has a scar on his face that began on his forehead and ran through his eyebrow, stopping at the top of his eye socket. He was wearing gray windbreaker pants, a gray short-sleeved running shirt and running shoes.

Anyone with information about this suspect should call Detective Raisanen at 734-973-4294.
