Emergency warning sirens blared in Saline around 7 p.m., but storms that followed produced little more than rain.

Shortly before 7 p.m., Doppler radar picked up wind rotation in a storm near Manchester. A tornado warning was issued, though no funnel clouds have yet been reported.

Two storm cells blew north and south of the city. The storm produced a high volume of rain, but nothing else.

“Nope. Nothing to report,” said Saline Area Fire Department Chief Craig Hoeft, when asked if he’d heard any reports of damage. “Just a lot of rain.”

Hoeft said residents should remain alert as high winds are forecasted into the evening. A tornado watch is in effect until 11 p.m.

Around Saline, the story was the same.

“Torwood got rain, no wind,” said Jim Tieman.

“Same here in Lodi Township. Lots of rain, no wind,” reported Sherry Smith.

Pittsfield Township resident Mary Williams reported the same.

“Rain in Silo Ridge. No wind,” Williams said.

Below is a "time lapse" video posted on Twitter by Brad Jenks, showing the storm quickly approaching Saline.
