Milan Man Accused of Providing False Info to Get Loans

A 20-year-old Milan man faces two charges, including one felony charge, for using false information to open a line of credit with Huntington Bank in Saline.

According to a Saline Police Department report, the man used falsified W-2 forms, claiming he made $91,500 in 2013 working for an Ann Arbor construction company that doesn’t exist.

The suspect’s mom told Saline Police her son has a drug issue and that drug dealers taught her son who to use false information for loans and credit cards.  Police began investigating the case in November.

The county prosecutor’s office has authorized a felony complaint of false pretenses ($1,000 to $20,000) and misdemeanor complaint of using false statements to procure a loan.
