Acoustic Routes Concerts is following up two capacity-stretching events at Stony Lake Brewing, 447 E. Michigan, with a show on Friday, May 5 at 8 p.m. featuring Saline-native and former Saline Fiddlers Philharmonic creative director Brad Phillips.
Brad grew up playing bluegrass, newgrass, old-time, Celtic, jazz, pop and singer-songwriter music. He can often be seen with Emmy Award-winning actor-musician-songwriter Jeff Daniels. He is currently an Artist-in-Residence at the Purple Rose Theater in Chelsea, and has worked as a sideman with Stevie Wonder, Iggy Pop, Brian Vander Ark of The Verve Pipe, Joshua Davis from NBC's "The Voice" and many others.
He will be joined by Jacob Warren, a multi-style bassist and recent graduate of the University of Michigan School of Music whose interests lie in a wide range of styles including classical, traditional and contemporary folk, jazz, bluegrass and newgrass, Cajun, gypsy jazz and more.
