Saline's Own Viva Voce Youth Choir Launches Second Season

Viva Voce Youth Choir will begin its second season on Tuesday, September 19.  The choir is a nonprofit organization founded last fall by former Saline Area Schools Vocal Music Teacher, Hannah Bingham. Viva Voce is currently comprised of 70 singers in grades 3 through 9.  The mission of Viva Voce Youth Choir is to inspire and connect singers to each other and to their larger community through excellence in choral singing and service projects.  This season Viva Voce will have weekly rehearsals leading up to concerts performed in December and May.  A significant part of the organization is its involvement in giving back to the community.  Previous service projects include singing at Evangelical Home Saline and diaper drive and "birthday bags" donations, both of which supported Saline Area Social Service.

After a prosperous inaugural season, Viva Voce now offers two choir options: Cantabella and Amabile.  Cantabella has auditions open to singers in grades 5-9 with previous music experience.  Amabile is for beginning singers in grades 3-9. Rehearsals will be held on Tuesday evenings at First Presbyterian Church of Saline.  For audition or choir information, please visit www.vivavoceyouthchoir.org or contact director Hannah Bingham at 734-506-VIVA (8482) or vivavoceyouthchoir@gmail.com
