DiggyPOD Leaving Saline for Tecumseh

An “on-demand” book making company is leaving Saline for Tecumseh, according to reports in the Adrian Daily Telegram and Tecumseh Herald.

DiggyPOD, a company that specializes in short-run and PDF-to-book printing, is leaving its office at 1259 Industrial Dr. in Saline for Tecumseh, the hometown of owner Tim Simpson.

Simpson was unavailable for comment Tuesday morning. An employee at DigiPOD said the company needed more space and would be putting the Saline property up for sale or lease when it moves. DiggyPod employs 13 people and expects to have the Tecumseh operation running by July, according to the Daily Telegram.

In 2010, city granted a six-year tax abatement on a small building expansion and $755,000 worth of new equipment.

According to the Herald, the company gains about 1,000 square feet of space and more land for explansion. The Daily Telegram reported DiggyPOD is moving to 301 Industrial Dr., in Tecumseh, a property purchased in a foreclosure sale.
