Saline City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday following a work meeting at 6 p.m.
During the work meeting city council will discuss the “promote saline” project and a Maple Heights Apartments project.
At the regular meeting Mayor Brian Marl and council with honor retiring Saline Police Department Sgt. Kevin Murphy. Saline Main Street Director Bob Rosenberger will provide an update on the organization’s activities.
City council will then go into executive session to discuss a “confidential written legal opinion” and to conduct an evaluation of City Manager Todd Campbell.
Upon returning to open session, council may also take action on the confidential legal opinion during the meeting. Council is also expected to approve wages for city staff for 2013. The recommendation is that salaries be frozen.
Council will also vote on several motions relating to the upcoming wastewater treatment plant project.
City council will consider several motions relating to the recently approved budget, which includes a .75-mill tax increase. Council will consider approval of an economic fact sheet and a press release. Council is also considering townhall meetings for July 25 and Aug. 6.
