Skateboarder Struck on Saline Milan Road

A local teenaged skateboarder was transported to hospital in unstable condition Saturday night after being struck by a pickup truck on Saline Milan Road near Judd Road in York Township.

According to Saline Fire Chief Craig Hoeft, the teenager was skateboarding on the road at about 10 p.m. when he was struck by a pickup truck, which then struck and knocked down a utility pole.

The teenager was transported to University of Michigan Hospital, Huron Valley Ambulance spokesperson Joyce Williams said. The driver of the pickup truck refused treatment.
