CORRECTION: Yogacentric, at 401 N. Ann Arbor St., is not looking for a new home. Owner Kimberly Jacks said her yoga studio has a lease for its space until November of 2020.

Brad Phillips Joins Ann Arbor Music Center

Fiddle and mandolin virtuoso Brad Phillips has joined the Ann Arbor Saline Music Center Staff. Phillips, a 2003 graduate of Saline High School, has gone on to a successful and multi-faceted career in the arts as a violinist, fiddler, mandolinist, guitarist, vocalist, composer, arranger, producer, actor, and educator.

Holding both a BFA in Jazz Studies and an MM in Improvisation from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, Brad’s professional path has led him to collaborations with the likes of Chelsea’s own Jeff Daniels, rock band The Verve Pipe, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Pat Metheny, Iggy Pop, Grammy award-winning Mark O’Connor, and countless Michigan artists.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join forces with Alex and Karen at the Ann Arbor Saline Music Center this summer, back in my home town of Saline,” says Phillips.  “I believe so strongly in their mission, teaching not only the technical side of playing an instrument, but also inspiring the inner artist and creative voice of every student who walks through their door.”

Phillips, an alum and former Artistic Director of the Saline Fiddlers Philharmonic was inducted into the Saline High School Hall of Fame in 2016 for his outstanding achievements in the music industry and contributions to the local music community.
