Real estate agents at Saline’s Reinhart Realtors office collected more than 240 coats new and used coats during the company’s 22nd annual coat drive, which began Oct. 30.

Agents collected coats all over town.

Many of them were distributed to families and individuals receiving assistance from Saline Area Social Service.

The coats were cleaned by Capitol Cleaners, owned by George Douglas.

“All around Saline, people opened their offices and let us place our collection boxes. And then they filled them up with new and gently used coats. Saline is a very generous town,” said Todd Lands, a Realtor at Saline’s Reinhart office.

In the 22-year history of the event, Reinhart has collected nearly 24,000 coats.
