The Foundation for Saline Area Schools is very pleased to announce the first Coaches/Teachers vs. Saline High School basketbakk alumni game.

It is scheduled for 5 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 24, at Liberty School.

Alumni from the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s will be on hand to play. The game will feature recent grad -  “The Man of Steel” Matt Rosati, who you can expect will spend the game launching 3-pointers. Unfortunately, last year’s “dynamic duo” Ryan Foley and Jake Finkbeiner  (Wayne State University) as well as the Class of 2015 “Twin Towers” Brendan Nearing (University of Cincinnati) and Brett Nearing (Grand Valley State University) will be in Florida playing tournament baseball.

Longtime Saline High School basketball coach Ken Sippell will return to coach the alumni team. He will be assisted by Dale Wilson, Class of ’68 and a former SHS varsity hoopster.  All students and children will be admitted free to the event. For adults, there is a $5 suggested donation requested at the door which will benefit the Foundation for Saline Area Schools.

In addition, it is alumni night at the Friday, Feb. 16 Saline varsity basketball game against Bedford.  The Alumni Committee of the Foundation for Saline Area Schools invites all SHS alums to join in an evening of fun and festivities and to be among a group of people who are proudly known as graduates of Saline High School.
