ANN ARBOR STAMP SHOW

Introduce your child to stamps, learn the value of that old album, see collection displays and exhibits,
and buy US and foreign stamps and see postal history at the Ann Arbor Stamp Show. Sponsored by the
Ann Arbor Stamp Club, it takes place Saturday November 4 (10-5) and Sunday November 5 (10-4) at
Morris Lawrence Building, Washtenaw Community College, 4800 E. Huron River Drive, Ann Arbor,
MI 48104 (just north of the Golfside-Clark Road intersection). Parking and admission are free;
however, sign-in and registration is required.
At the heart of the show are 29 stamp, cover, and collector supplies dealers from seven states, some as
far as New Mexico, Wisconsin, and Kentucky. Also, collectors display exhibits of stamps and postal
history by country and by topic. A youth area has instruction on how to collect stamp along with free
stamps for beginners. The US Postal Service (a show co-sponsor) and United Nations Postal
Administration have an area that will have recent issues for sale.
Additional features include a Peninsular State Philatelic Society meeting scheduled for Saturday at 2
p.m., an American Topical Association table, and several cachet makers showing their art on Saturday.
Those wanting refreshments,lunch or a snack can purchase them from the students and teachers of
Clonlara, an independent school in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
