Saline Area Players are holding AUDITIONS for Silent Night: The Real(ish) Story on October 8 from 2-4 PM at Liberty School.  The play written and directed by Kara Fay Cardella is appropriate for persons of all ages and all are encouraged to audition.

Auditions will consist of singing a familiar Christmas carol, theater games, and cold readings from the script. Auditioners do not need to prepare anything prior to the audition. Be prepared to move and try new things. Plan to come a few minutes early to the auditions to fill out an audition form (or download one from our website: www.salineareaplayers.org). After auditions, the cast list will be posted on the SAP website.

The most beloved Christmas carol, “Silent Night,” was written almost by accident. A young priest, an Austrian village and a damaged organ all took part in the creation of this classic hymn. With a bit of embellishment, some memorable characters, and favorite holiday tunes, this staging of the almost catastrophe will be a delight for the whole family!

Performances will be Nov 30-Dec 3 at Fifth Corner. Rehearsals will beTuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. Weeknight rehearsals will begin at 7:00 pm and end at 8:30 for younger actors, and 9:00 for others. Saturday rehearsals will be from 9-12.

Character descriptions and more are on the website at www.salineareaplayers.org
