Be Healthy Saline is a collaboration between Saline Farmers Market and SASC, via a Washtenaw County Building Healthy Communities Grant. The goal is to encourage seniors and low income individuals to eat healthier, educating through hands-on, cooking demos. At the Kickoff, Chef Jeff, with A Respectful Life, will be there to do a healthy cooking demonstration of Michigan Cherry Chili and Sauteed Brussel Sprouts, which will include some seasonal ingredients supplied by the Saline Farmers Market vendors. Courtney Stinson, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for Savor Life Nutrition will present "Savoring Seasonal Produce & the Nutritionist's Top 5 Reasons You Should Take Advantage of Your Local Farmer's Market". All attendees will be given $8 worth of token incentives to buy fresh produce at the market.  Please register at the front desk.
