A 2018 Michigan Notable Book selection!

Since 1992, Michigan's renowned artisanal bakery, Zingerman's Bakehouse, has fed a fan base across the United States and beyond with their chewy-sweet brownies and gingersnaps, famous sour cream coffee cake, and fragrant loaves of Jewish rye, challah, and sourdough. To celebrate their 25th anniversary, master bakers and co-owners Amy Emberling and Frank Carollo published 65 of their famous recipes in a beautifully detailed cookbook, complete with more than 50 color photographs and illustrations.  Join Amy and Frank for a discussion about the book and tales from Zingerman's Bakehouse.

Michigan Notable Books is a program sponsored by the Library of Michigan and the Michigan Department of Education. Each year, the Library of Michigan selects up to 20 notable books that celebrate our state's rich cultural, historical, and literary heritage.
