Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an evidence-based 8-week course designed to develop emotional resilience and enhance emotional well-being and to build skill in responding to difficult moments with understanding and self-care. Developed by Kristen Neff and Christopher Germer at the UCSD Medical School, the MSC course gives us skills for self-care and to live with more ease. The course meets Thursdays, 9:30 to Noon in the Community Room, 400 W. Russell. The course fee is $400 and includes a half-day retreat, a work book, and recorded guided meditations.
Up to 25 CEs are available for mental health professionals.
