Two years have flown by since Stony Lake Brewing owners Jerry and Heidi Tubbs opened their doors at 447 E. Michigan Ave. and poured their first pint of high-gravity ale as small business owners.

The couple’s original vision was to scale up Jerry’s home-brewing operation, and create a cozy, informal pub where neighbors and families could get together for a pint, card games, trivia and conversation.  Even high-stakes Jenga. That foundation is intact. But the reality today is even bigger: Jerry’s ales are attracting state-wide notice, Stony Lake has become a destination for gourmet food trucks and it’s now the home of Acoustic Routes Concerts, which has been bringing award-winning musicians from around the world to Saline since 2013.

Beer, music, food and friends -- it’s all coming together for the brewery’s second anniversary party on Saturday, November 11.  The doors open at 5 p.m. At 6 p.m., Cosa Sobrosa – Spanish for “tasty thing” -- will start serving a special menu of Mexican and Latin specialties.  Then at 8 p.m., The Steel City Rovers from Hamilton, Ontario will take the stage.

The Rovers’ music is Celtic in root, but they skate effortlessly into other genres with echoes of French Canadian and Cape Breton fiddle styles, bluegrass, Appalachian swing and southern blues. Founder Mark Fletcher and his bandmates deliver a rollicking performance every time, driven by guitar, fiddle, mandola, accordion, drums, whistles and Scottish small pipes. The group’s fans call their style "Celtibilly".

Advance tickets for the celebration, which includes music, food and two pints (or wine or hard cider), are $40.  They can be purchased at the brewery or at
