Many people already know about the benefits that canine visits can provide to people in long-term residences for the elderly and during hospital stays.
But did you know that these dogs can help you, too?
Eastern Michigan University is now hosting monthly "Wellness Woof" events that are open to the public. This means that you don't have to be a student, faculty, or alumnus to attend these events. Admission is free.
The first event is tonight, January 10, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on the fourth floor of the EMU Recreation Building (hosted in conjunction with the EMU "Winter Wellness Fair").
Other offerings will be held on the following dates:
- February 13
- March 5
- March 20
- April 9
