When this little girl says you're going to the Summer Music Series in downtown Saline, you might not have much choice in the matter.

The Summer Music Series – a free, outdoor concert series brought to you by Saline Main Street, continues on South Ann Arbor Street this Thursday July 5th at 7:00 p.m. with Leverage. Jeff Mauck and Eric Prater have been playing together for nearly seventeen years.  From t 2000 – 2005 they were in Alloy with Scott Pruitt.  When the three of them broke off from Alloy, they asked Rich McLaughlin to join them along with Jeff Metz.  After auditioning a few vocalists, the band solidified the vocalist spot with Valencia Bogardus.

Leverage began to play some local clubs in the mid and late 2000’s.  They gained a steady following and soon were quickly becoming a favorite band to go watch perform.  By 2010 they decided to take a break however it became apparent after a reunion show in 2013 that the band’s following was still there and was itching to see Leverage perform again on a regular basis.

Rich had decided to move on as his career and family were growing so the band recruited the son of keyboard player Eric.  It was apparent right away that Brandon Prater was a great fit and addition to Leverage.  With the new members in place Leverage once again rolled up their sleeves and began working on new music to perform.  Their first show together with the new lineup proved that they still have what it takes when they packed the venue with a standing room only crowd of long time followers and new fans as well.  After a decade of playing together they have what it takes to show a crowd a great time and have a blast performing some of the classic covers that we have all come to love.
