Ethel Jeanette Fritts, age 97, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the Linden Square Assisted Living Facility in Saline, MI. Ethel was born on July 18, 1922 in Howell, Michigan, the daughter of the late Arthel L. and Nellie J. (Smith) West. She married Harold W. Fritts on March 9, 1946 and he preceded her in death in March of 2000.
Over the years Ethel took care of many nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and neighbor children. She also loved to garden and was very talented at both flower and vegetable gardening.
Survivors include her children Bruce (Judy) Fritts, Sharon Haeussler, Barry (Glenna) Fritts, son-in-law Carl Ticknor, and her brother Gerald West. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ethel was preceded in death in addition to her husband by her daughter Marcia Ticknor, four brothers and their wives, Harold (Phyllis), Ralph (Marilyn), Roger (Ruth), and Duane, sisters-in-law Lois West and Pam Roncci, son-in-law Peter Haeussler, and one grandson. Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline, MI, with Pastor Tim Ziegler officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Saline. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to Careline Hospice or to West Side United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
