The Saline Summerfest Arts & Crafts Show continues Saturday on South Ann Arbor Street.

The show features a strong contingent of local artists and crafters, who are pictured in our gallery.

Students at Saline ATA Martial Arts showed their skills at Saline Summerfest Friday night.

Dance Alliance has instructed and grown with the many families of Saline, Michigan and the surrounding areas for over 30 years.

Rhythm Dance Crew was one of three dance troupes to perform at Saline Summerfest Friday night.

Saline Main Street volunteers will be busy this weekend conducting an intercept survey at Summerfest and the Farmer’s Market. This intercept survey or person-on-the-street interview will ask people questions about our downtown – what it’s like today and what you think it should be like in the future.


Saline Summerfest is a great place to catch up with friends - old and new.

On Tuesday, August 6, students at Two Twelve Arts Center learned how to embellish a wine glass or vase using polymer clay. Instructor Ann Staub showed us how the clay can be shaped into flowers, petals, vines or free-form shapes. Students were free to create their own unique artwork using small cookie-cutter-like tools, straws, and toothpicks. After we finished getting our designs exactly the way we wanted them, Ann explained how to bake the items in a low oven when we got home.

Volunteers and donors help make Saline spledid in the summer. Help is also needed to keep Saline sparking this winter.

The death of a 25-year-old Saline man may be the city's second drug-related death in two months.

Saline Farmers Market moves to parking lot off of East Henry (behind Mac’s and Murphy’s Crossing) this Saturday, August 10, during Summerfest.  There is plenty of parking so come early and buy your produce, baked goods, eggs, coffee, cheese, flowers and maybe even a hand-craft item.

With nearly 50 vendors he annual Arts & Crafts Show, located on South Ann Arbor Street, takes place Friday, from 5 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The new gathering place is located behind Brecon Grille and Mangiamo Italian Grill off South Ann Arbor Street.
