To the editor:

I am writing in support of Gretchen Driskell for representative of the 52nd Michigan District based on her twelve year record of public service as Mayor of Saline. During her tenure, she has sensed that education and business go hand-in-hand. Her way to court and retain economic status of our town was to find progressive businesses,  such as Liebherr  (from our sister city in Germany),  and introduce them to the quality public educational  program awaiting their families within the Saline Area Schools.

We are proud to support Brian Marl for Mayor of the City of Saline. Brian understands the importance of economic development to a community’s long-term success, and he is passionate about our city. Brian has deep roots in this community, and that is demonstrated in the time he devotes to Saline in his service on City Council, his church and in community organizations. He clearly has a vision for the future, and we are confident that his leadership abilities will make him an effective and forward-thinking mayor.

I’m writing this letter to convey my support of Brian Marl for Mayor. I have become informed about both candidates during recent years, and can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that Brian is more accessible and engaged with people in this community. Every time I have had a question or concern, Brian has been willing to help resolve the problem, and has always been expedient, approachable and professional in doing so. I am sure that Brian will serve all of Saline residents and taxpayers very well as Mayor.  Please vote for Marl for Saline Mayor.

To the Editor:

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter in support of the candidacy of Brian Marl for the mayor of Saline. As the former Superintendent of Saline Area Schools, I have had the opportunity to watch him grow into the thoughtful, hardworking person he is today.

When I attended his campaign kick-off, I marveled at this ability to speak to the issues with such depth and understanding. His passion for Saline and his willingness to listen make him a great choice.
