The Washtenaw County Road Commission is hosting a public forum on construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Moon Road and Bemis Road on the border of York and Pittsfield Townships. The roundabout will be similar to the one built at Ann Arbor-Saline Road and Textile Road in 2016.
The forum will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m., May 17 at the York Township Hall, located at 11560 Stony Creek Rd Milan

It is estimated WCRC and its contractor will take 3-4 weeks to build the roundabout, weather pending. During this time, the intersection will be completely closed to traffic and a detour will be posted. Construction is expected to occur this Fall.

Once the construction start date has been finalized, WCRC will issue a media advisory, post on WCRC’s Facebook and Twitter pages and include the date in the WCRC Weekly Road Work Update email.
