Gilbert Clyde Volk 89, of Ypsilanti, MI passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018. He is preceded in death by his wife Glenis Volk.

Survived by his children Jeri (Daniel) Caldwell and Kieth Volk; his grandchildren James Caldwell and Lindsay (Brad) Baden; great grandchildren Preston and Fischer Baden. Also survived by his sister Dora Harrington. Preceded in death by his brothers Charles and Fred Herbert. Gilbert was a veteran of the US Army and he retired from the US Post Office.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline, MI.

Friends are invited to celebrate Gilbert’s life with his family on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home and again on Thursday, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Drexel Morton will officiate. Burial will take place at Harwood Cemetery immediately following the service. Military Honors will be held under the auspices of the Veteran’s Honor Guard of Washtenaw County. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Huron Valley, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
