Ronald Allen Edmonds, of Milan, age 74, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017. Ron was born December 18, 1942 in West Frankfort, IL, the son of James Allen and Louise (Vineyard) Edmonds. He married Suzanne Smith on April 7, 1973 in Alton, IL.
He proudly served in the United Sates Army and was a Green Beret, Special Forces Division, Sergeant E-5.
Survivors in addition to his wife include their son Brad (Kay) Edmonds of Saline, and daughter Amy Edmonds of Milan. Other survivors include his granddaughter Quinn Kelly Edmonds, sister Nancee Crowder, brother Gary Edmonds, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents Orval and Violet Vineyard and a sister Jill.
Ron loved his family and being outdoors. He enjoyed yard work, walking, and always had a special dog by his side. Ron had a passion for cars, he attended countless car shows and races. He enjoyed NASCAR and U of M sports, a true Maize and Blue fan, he loved football and basketball.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 6:30 P.M. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline with Pastor Ken Gilmore officiating. Military Honors will be held under the auspices of the Washtenaw County Veterans Honor Guard.
