The seniors kicked off Homecoming week by winning the Powder Puff Football Tournament Sunday night at Saline High School.

The juniors might have had three of the four members of the state champion 4-by-100 track and field team, but the seniors showed why its important to respect your elders, winning 35-0 in the championship game.

Melissa Needham ran for two touchdowns, Amanda Luurtsema and Liz Gentile each ran for a touchdown and QB Randi Bennett passed to Caitlin Ellis for the other senior touchdown.

The seniors were nearly upset by a swife sophomore team in their first game. The seniors built up an 18-0 lead and watched the sophomores come back to make it 18-13 before the seniors pulled away at the end for a 24-13 win.

The juniors defeated the freshmen 36-6.
