Saline Police arrested a 23-year-old Detroit man who confessed to keying the vehicle belonging to his former manager. The incident occurred April 23.
The man and a 19-year-old Detroit woman were terminated from their jobs at Faurecia, located on Michigan Avenue in Saline, according to Saline Police Chief Jerrod Hart. They crossed the street to go to Wendy's restaurant, where they were to wait for a ride.
"Unfortunately they returned to the plant property where the male 'keyed' a manager's vehicle," Hart said.
The pair were then seen walking back to towards Wendy's. Saline Police Officer Chris Boulter found the subjects and detained both of them. The male confessed to damaging the vehicle, Hart said. He was arrested. The woman was released without charges.
The Washtenaw County Prosecutor's Office is reviewing the charges.
