Pittsfield Police Seek Suspect in Armed Robbery at Circle K

Pittsfield Township police are investigating an armed robbery at the Circle K gas station on the 5400 block of West Michigan Avenue.

The incident occurred at 4 a.m. when a suspect entered the store, located near Carpenter Road, and demanded money from the store’s clerk. According to a news release issued by Pittsfield police, the clerk saw the muzzle of a handgun protruding from the suspect’s jacket pocket. After the clerk turned over cash, the suspect grabbed a large quantity of cigarillos and then left the area on foot.

Ypsilanti police assisted with a canine track but could not locate the suspect. He was described as a Hispanic male, under 5’4 with a thin build. He is believed to be a teenager. He wore a grey hoodie and a bandana on his face
