Seniors Win the Powder Puff Football Game to Kick Off Spirit Week at Saline High School

Spirit week is off to a rousing start at Saline High School.

The annual powder puff football game kicked off a weekend of fun, football and dancing.

Asia Lindsey scored three touchdowns to lead the seniors to 28-19 victory over the juniors in the championship game. Sarah Brannan also scored for the seniors. Maddy Welch scored two touchdowns for the juniors and Nora Udrys added one. Kelsey Alexander also had a great game for the juniors.

The seniors beat the freshmen 31-6 to open play. The juniors beat the sophomores 36-34 in the evening’s best game. Alexander scored a couple of touchdowns for the juniors. Sami Woods and Emma Schwartzenberger each scored twice for the sophomores.

Spirit week concludes with Homecoming activities this weekend.

Here’s the schedule:

  • Monday – Roll out of bed day
  • Tuesday – Superhero or villain day
  • Wednesday – Rockstar day (concert t-shirts)
  • Thursday – Lumberjack day (flannels and boots)
  • Friday – Spirit/class color day. Seniors wear white, juniors wear blue, sophomores where gold and freshmen where grey.
  • Friday – Homecoming parade begins at 5:15 p.m. on Campus Parkway and proceeds to Hornet Stadium.
  • Saturday – The Homecoming Dance is in the high school commons from 8-11 p.m. Tickets are available during lunches or at the door.
