Amera Boyd returned to the lineup after missing a game with an injury and she scored seven points for Saline.

Saline defeated Father Gabriel Richard 61-33 to improve to 6-0 as the team breaks for the holidays.

Junior Ella Stemmer scored 25 points and had eight rebounds and five steals to lead Saline. Senior Steffi Bentley recorded the double-double, with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Amera Boyd (two rebounds) and Emily Wilcynski (two steals) scored seven points for Saline. Natalie Sweetland scored three points and had three rebounds and a pair of steals.

Beth Ann Ford (four rebounds), Brielle Eugeni (two rebounds) and Reggie Duerst each scored two points. Liz Sekerak (two rebounds) and Sophie Canen (five rebounds, two blocks) each had a point. Ashtyn Mosingo picked up two rebounds.

The Hornets are off until Jan. 4, when Saline hosts Traverse City West at 3 p.m.

The Hornets are scoring 65.5 points per game and giving up 29.3 points per game.
