Only 24 hours after falling to Skyline and Pioneer in a battle of SEC Red unbeaten teams, the Saline varsity boys’ golf team rebounded to defeat Monroe, Adrian and Lincoln at Brookside Golf Course Wednesday.

Josh Finn shot a 36 and Tim Wageman was right behind him with a 37. The Hornets finished first and second, overall, as Saline shot 152. Adrian (186), Monroe (196) and Lincoln (204) followed.

Aidan bunting shot 39 to finish tied for third, overall. Yanek Sadek shot a 40 – good for fifth – to complete the Hornet scoring.  Mason Ausmus scored a 42 to take sixth overall – giving Saline five of the top six golfers. Chase Sirota scored a 48 for the Hornets.

The junior varsity team scored 171. They were led by Joe Raupp and Josh Peitz (41). Kieran Dean was right behind them at 42. Jack Pribble, Grayson Schad and Trey Wayment each scored 47.
