The Saline girls golf team wrapped up the SEC season by defeating Dexter, 196-203.

Saline finished the SEC season with a 9-2 record. The Hornets will play for the SEC Championship Monday at Eagle Crest.

Senior Emily Woodman led the way for Saline with a 45 while Sophie Wood shot 47. Izzy Chehadi, Katie Sloan and Chelsey Hermanson all shot 52.

The Hornets victory was extra special because the team celebrated senior night.

"It was a great senior night for our three seniors -Emily Woodman, Chelsey Hermanson and Alexis Farquharson. They are such wonderful young ladies and the Saline golf program has been so fortunate to have them on our team,” coach Debbie Williams-Hoak said. “These ladies are also our captains and they have been some of the best captains we have ever had."
