Saline Tennis Opens Season Against Troy Athens

The Saline varsity boys’ tennis team opened the season Friday with a home match against Troy Athens.

The Hornets picked up a win in singles and a win in doubles but fell 6-2.

Ethan Shell, playing singles two, came from behind to defeat Vincent Tai 3-6, 6-2 and 6-4.

In doubles one, Jackson Jost and Alex Mah defeated Nick John and Ben Stedafu 6-1, 3-6 and 6-3.

In singles one Cam Tressler fell to Gabe Brown. Nathan Makowski fell to Shray Naik in singles three. Conner Krager lost to Pranjal Gaur, 6-2 and 6-2, in singles four.

Nathan Mah and Dhruv Talakar lost 6-1 and 6-2 in doubles two. Brock Mayfield fell 6-2 and 6-7 (5) in doubles three. Isaac Gilmore and Kandhan Nadarajah lost 6-3 and 7-6 (15) in doubles four.

Saline hosts Novi Tuesday.
