More Power Outages In Saline, Light Out at Monroe and Michigan

More than 2,500 DTE customers in the Saline area are without power Saturday evening.

On the south side, it's a familiar picture. The "DTE Outage Map" shows an outage that affecting the central city core - virtually everything south and east, into York Township. It's virtually the same area that was affected during a power outage earlier this week.

The cause of the outage is under investigation Power has been off since 7:27 p.m., according to the website. The estimated restoration time is 3:30 p.m., Sunday - although earlier this week, power was restored much earlier than estimated

To the north of town, in Lodi and Pittsfield Townships, about 560 customers have been without power since 7:27 p.m. The cause is under investigation. The estimated time of restoration is 7:27 p.m.

The Saline Area Fire Department was dispatched to two electrical incidents. At 7:41 p.m. the SAFD was dispatched to the 200 block of South Ann Arbor for a sparking transformer at Peoples Park. Firefighters were dispatched to the 9700 block fo South Maple Road for power lines arcing in the trees.

Saline Police Chief Jerrod Hart said the traffic signal is out at Michigan Avenue and Monroe Street. A stop sign has been placed on Monroe Street.
