Hendrickson Selected for All-Star Game at Comerica Park

Lefty pitcher Michael Hendrickson, who'll play for University of Michigan, was selected to play for the West team in the Michigan High School School Baseball Coaches Association All Star Game, which takes place at Comerica Park, at 7 p.m., July 10.

Recent Saline High School graduate Michael Hendrickson was selected to play for the West team in the Michigan High School School Baseball Coaches Association All Star Game, which takes place at Comerica Park, at 7 p.m., July 10.

Hendrickson, a lefty who'll pitch at University of Michigan next year, is one of three SEC players on the West team. Joining him are Brad Boss, infielder, Bedford, and Phil Carey, pitcher, Tecumseh. Clinton pitcher and outfield TJ Baker is also on the West's roster.

Tickets, which can be purchased at Comerica Park on game day, are $10. For more information, click here.

Hendrickson and the Hornets host the MHSAA Division 1 regional tournament at Saliine High School Saturday. Saline plays Lincoln Park in the regional final at 10 a.m. Taylor Kennedy and Dearborn Heights play in the other regional semifinal. The winners play in the final at approximately 2 p.m.

The winner advances to the quarterfinal at 6 p.m. June 10 at the University of Michigan,
