Saline's athletes broke school records and MHSAA records enroute to the state championship Saturday.
Saline won its fifth straight boys track and field regional championship Friday at Saline High School. But these Hornets are “dreaming big,” and they’re willing to sacrifice some personal glory if it means the Hornets bring a team trophy home from Rockford, May 30.
The records are piling up for Skyler Bowden. And the Saline High School senior sprinter isn’t done yet.
Saline senior Skyler Bowden, one of the state’s top 200 and 400-meter runners, had lofty goals when he began the outdoor track and field season. Tuesday, Bowden caught many by surprise when, running in the second heat of the 100 meter dash, he went out and broke the school record.
