Pittsfield Police Raid Payeur Drive Home, Confiscate Marijuana Plants

Pittsfield Township police raided a home on the 100 block of Payeur Drive early Tuesday morning, investigating the possible presence of a marijuana growing operation, according to a news release issued Wednesday.

At approximately 5:45 AM, the Pittsfield Township Department of Public Safety's Rapid Response Unit, along with the detective bureau, conducted a raid at a residence in the 100 block of Payeur Drive.

Prior investigation revealed the possible presence of a marijuana grow operation at this location, according to the news release. The raid resulted in marijuana plants being confiscated from this location due to noncompliance with the  Michigan Medical Marihuana Act guidelines, police said.

Police say one of the individuals that rents space at the Payeur Drive location is affiliated with a local marijuana dispensary.
