Acoustic Routes Concerts announced today that award-winning singer-songwriter and America's Got Talent Finalist Olivia Millerschin will perform live at Saline's Stony Lake Brewing, 447. E. Michigan Ave., on Saturday, June 10 at 8 pm.
Opening for Millerschin is Saline singer-songwriter Jake Enos who has performed at The Ark and been a guest on Tree Town Sounds on 107.1 WQKL-FM. He has opened for artists including Grammy-winning guitarist Al Petteway and New Orleans jazz and bluesman Luke Winslow-King.
Millerschin wrote her first song before she turned 14. She won a Grand Prize in the 2014 John Lennon Songwriting Contest and that same year she made it to the finals of NBC’s America’s Got Talent, where she performed at Radio City Music Hall in New York (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVWncskO02I).
"Look Both Ways," her second full-length album, released last year, infuses all of the clever lyrics, haunting melodies and colorful folk, pop and soulful elements she’s known for. The song “Long Weekend” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqY92Ys52FQ) is an ode to love found and quickly lost. It features artist Michael Grubbs, known to his fans as Wakey Wakey, from the hit TV show “One Tree Hill.” The song “When” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_ljY2BN-HE) features Sawyer Fredericks, the 2015 winner of The Voice.
Her version of the 1920’s French song “Parlez-Moi D’Amour” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGTwjo5NNO8) is featured on a Republic Records companion album to author Mitch Albom’s book “The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto” alongside musical greats Ingrid Michaelson and Tony Bennett.
The cover charge is $15 at the door and 100 percent of the proceeds go to the artists. Guest are encouraged to arrive early as seating is limited.
