Art Around Saline: Public Art Downtown

 04/21/2017 - 11:25

Four large framed prints of art will be installed on outdoor walls of local Saline downtown businesses in May.  The Art Around Saline is a program specifically targeted to promote local artists.  25 original works were submitted for the juried competition.  The selected works will remain for public display for a year.  A joint project of the City of Saline Arts & Culture Committee and Saline Main Street, the plan is for an annual competition with rotating pieces and additional sites.

The four artists of the selected artworks are, Kay Cassill, Sandra Difazio, Nancy Murray and Jill Wagner.

The goals of this new and unique project are to enhance and promote public arts and culture within the City of Saline, highlight the work of local artists, and increase and enhance pride in our city and its growing art culture.
