A weekend of summer fun kicked off with blazing fun in downtown Saline Thursday evening.
The Invasion, a cover band dedicated to British invasion music of the 60s, played in front of large, enthusiastic crowd on South Ann Arbor Street. The free concert was presented by Saline Main Street.
Tables were taken inside and outside of Mac's Acadian Seafood Shack and Brecon Grille and the patio was busy at Salt Springs Brewery as revelers enjoyed the weather, the music and vibe in downtown Saline.
Thursday night's concert is just the beginning of the fun in town. Saline Summerfest kicks of Friday and runs through Saturday evening.
