Saline City Council will use a special meeting Monday night to go over the budget for 2017-18.
The work meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Saline City Hall, located at 100 N. Harris St.
The latest iteration of the city budget protects $9,168,871 in revenue against $9,162,997 in expenditures.
Those numbers are down from the current fiscal year, which shows about a $32,000 surplus after $9,449,421 in spending.
The city is expecting about $170,000 less in state funding. The city also isn’t counting on any revenue from land sales, which were worth about $120,000 to the city this year.
