SOCCER: Saline Wins The SEC Red, Looks to Post-Season

The Saline varsity soccer team defeated Monroe, 4-0, on senior night to clinch the SEC Red title Monday at Hornet Stadium.

Brayden Stavros, Christian Rossi, Zeke Gray and Jake Walper scored for Saline. All the goals came in the second half.

Saline and Pioneer entered Monday's action tied atop the SEC Red. With Saline's win and Skyline's tie with Pioneer, the Hornets captured sole control of the SEC Red.

The Hornets also paid tributes to their seniors Monday. Prior to the game, seniors Connor martin, Jason Head, Noel Sompa, Zeke Gray, Jake McCandless, Eric Kent, Hayden Larance, James Kolasinski, Ian Winslow, Colin McGreal, Jake Walper, Sam Herner and Xander Caruana walked down the 50-yard line with parents as they were introduced. Fellow senior Jamison Barker was absent.
